AppCleaner - Nice to have uninstaller for macOs.AltTab - Use Windows alt+tab feature in macOS.1Password - Work and personal password manager, also installed Chrome’s addon. Most of the stuff that I use can be either downloaded from their official site, or installed from the App Store, and I haven’t had any compatibility issue with M1 architecture just yet. For example to switch the default version used from 8.1 to 7.4: Side note: You can install multiple PHP versions on your machine via brew install brew install etc, and use the brew link/ unlink command to set the default version used in your machine. Once it’s installed, I’ve also installed some other tools such as bat, PHP, and Git via brew install command. It’s the de-facto package manager for macOS and the installation guide works fine for M1 architecture. You can’t talk about macOS without Homebrew. I’m documenting my process and this will serve as a living document for me to refer to once I’ve updated my setup. Having worked with Windows and Arch Linux before, there are some challenges, especially a shift in thinking but overall, I am very surprised to find out most of the stuff works out of the box pretty well. It’s a base model with an M1 chip, which I’m particularly looking forward to trying. $1 a month or $9.99 if paid annually.I recently got a new Macbook Pro 14" as my new work laptop so I’ve been busy setting up the machine. Your subscription price shouldn't be more than you're previous selling price. I'm sure you've spent enough time studying this, and you have a reason for the pricing, but I don't think you've taken into consideration the aspects I've mentioned. I don't see the real benefit of the subscription model to your application, the backend service you're providing isn't worth the price you're asking. Add to it the ability to use those apps on multiple devices, including smartphones, tablets, computers, and even smartwatches. Those apps use a far more complicated, highly secured backend cloud than what your app would. Many other companies charge between $1 and $4 for the same service depending on the features. However, $24 a year is a price you would pay for something like a password manager (I pay $24/Year for Roboform, which is one of the good ones. It's unfair to create an app and keep releasing measure updates for free. I understand that as a developer, you need a steady income, and I completely support the idea. Cowell and Reid were critical of the new name, and Cowell suggested that the group be renamed again. Thereafter, Lylas changed their name to 1432 (a colloquial term for I Love You Too), which was announced on the first live show on October 31, during which 1432 performed " We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together" by Taylor Swift. Initially, the group's name was "Lylas" (an acronym for Love You Like a Sister), but another group called "The Lylas" (which consists of four of Bruno Mars' sisters) claimed that the show stole their name. Afterwards, Marc Anthony called the performance "unbelievable" with Cowell sharing similar sentiments saying that they were "clearly one great group". For their qualifying song at the "judges' houses", and their first song as a group, the girls sang an acoustic version of " Impossible" by Shontelle. Reid, Britney Spears and Simon Cowell helped form the group. However, they were later brought back and put together to form a five-piece girl group at The Fillmore, in Miami, Florida on July 27, thus qualifying for the "Groups" category. The latter four failed to progress in the "Teens" category, with Brooke failing to enter the "Young Adults" category. In 2012, Ally Brooke, Camila Cabello, Normani Kordei, Dinah Jane and Lauren Jauregui auditioned as solo contestants on the second season of the American televised singing competition The X Factor. Our experience, expertise, and leadership will help make your new part, or concept, a reality. We consider our customer’s success integral to Microspec’s success. We continue to innovate bump tubing technology into a wide variety of technologies we offer.Īn ISO 13485 certified company, Microspec stays in close communication with our customers throughout the extrusion process-from tool design to extruded part from prototype to production from OQ/PQ validation to product launch. This technology has enabled designers to shrink distal dimensions while maximizing the functionality at the proximal end. Microspec has extruded bump-tubing since 1989 and is recognized as an industry leader, as it was the first company in the world to extrude multi-lumen bump tubing commercially. The company extrudes custom bump tubing, single- and multi-lumen extrusions, co- and tri-extrusions, micro-extrusions, over-extrusions, coated wire, multi-layered tubing, balloon and ribbon extrusions, and profile extrusions as well as new concepts. Microspec is also a pioneer in the extrusion of high heat engineering plastics such as PEEK. The company’s experience with medical thermoplastics does not end there. Microspec extrudes most thermoplastics, polyurethanes, nylons, engineering resins, as well as fluoropolymers (including FEP, EFEP, PFA) and custom formulations. Founded in 1989, Microspec Corporation has a global reputation for extruding some of the smallest, most complex medical tubing in the industry, with some of the tightest tolerances. For over 25 years, medical device companies the world over have turned to Microspec for custom medical tubing that challenges the limits of extrusion technology. As discussed in previous sections, nonproduction environments can potentially utilize Microsoft Entra B2B collaboration to onboard privileged accounts to the non-production tenants using the same posture and security controls designed for privileged access in their production environment.Ĭloud-only accounts are the simplest way to provision human identities in a Microsoft Entra tenant and it's a good fit for green field environments. This enables you to add stronger security policies such as device-based access control for secure workstations. Provision accounts in the isolated environment for administrative personnel and IT teams who operate the environment. Human identity provisioning Privileged Accounts In addition to the guidance in the Microsoft Entra general operations guide, we also recommend the following considerations for isolated environments. Enable access only through modern authentication for services and secure remote access (also protected by modern authentication) for the infrastructure.ĭirectory-level role assignments - Avoid or reduce numbers of directory-level role assignments (User Administrator on directory scope instead of AU-scoping) or service-specific directory roles with control plane actions (Knowledge Admin with permissions to manage security group memberships). Isolate services - Minimize the surface attack area by protecting underlying identities and service infrastructure from exposure. All trusts between environments should be established with modern constructs such as federation and claims-based identity. Use Conditional Access and filter for devices as a condition.Įliminate legacy trust mechanisms - Isolated directories and services shouldn't establish trust relationships with other environments through legacy mechanisms such as Active Directory trusts. Use Windows 365 Cloud PCs (Cloud PC) with the Microsoft Graph API. Whenever possible, passwordless authentication such as Windows for Business Hello or a FIDO2 security keys should be used.ĭeploy secure workstations - Secure workstations provide the mechanism to ensure that the platform and the identity that platform represents is properly attested and secured against exploitation. This way, legacy applications that have dependency on legacy authentication methods such as NT LAN Manager (NTLM) won't carry forward in isolated environments.Įnforce strong authentication - Strong authentication must always be used when accessing the isolated environment services and infrastructure. Use only modern authentication - Applications deployed in isolated environments must use claims-based modern authentication (for example, SAML, * Auth, OAuth2, and OpenID Connect) to use capabilities such as federation, Microsoft Entra B2B collaboration, delegation, and the consent framework. When designing isolated environments, it's important to consider the following principles: For all isolated tenants we suggest you use clear and differentiated branding to help avoid human error of working in the wrong tenant. Maybe one day AI can do this much better but it has a very long way to go IMV. It is simply impossible to invent real detail convincingly, though uprezzing from 720p and FHD to 4K can be much more successful. BCC Uprez is also quite good, at least as good as Topaz, in my experience and has the advantage of working directly within an NLE.Įven if you look at the examples on Topaz's website, they are not very convincing and presumably they were the best showcases. Professionally Teranex is still used for this type of work, more often but I cannot justify the cost for this one show. Also at the time I had a JVC HD101E (one of the first in Europe), that could shoot progressive DV and this is much sharper footage to uprez, even though the camera was somewhat cheaper than the Sony. At the time I had very careful settings that reduced edge sharpening to a minimum, so fortunately that is not a huge problem. This series, was shot by me, on a broadcast DSR570 with J11 and J17 top quality lenses. Then de-interlacing is performed and Neat Video has an excellent sharpening filter, as well as denoising and removing macro blocking. The deck has a very good HDMI out that upscales the footage to HD (1080i), quite capably. The best solution I found is to recapture the DVCam tapes (I still have them) via a JVC HDV deck through Utlrastudio Mini 4K, to Avid. As I mentioned a very fine filmlike grain is really quite nice, it starts to look like 16mm. But I will follow your suggestions for some tests. My TV series is 5 hours! And so to run it all through Topaz would be an ordeal. There was a thread here where I submitted stills, but nobody provided a better solution than I can get myself, even though they recommended a very complex method. I am currently, in between working for a living, restoring an old TV series I made around 2006, shot in DVCam. You can see that very often on 4K Netflix documentaries that incorporate DV archive. Steve Fishwick wrote:Yes Carlo, it's true, it has some very innovative tools, I should experiment more with it However as I say, it's often a time/workflow issue and I have never seen an ideal solution for SD DV interlaced footage. Because, for me, as I said the difference between this and what can be achieved directly in the NLE, is subtle, I prefer to choose the quickest workflow, consistent with some useful improvement, but obviously YMMV. Grain often helps with perceptual sharpness in images. Most of it ends up looking like severe edge enhancement from the old video camera days, which is beginning to happen, I would say, in Carlo's first two examples too.įor DV footage, the best solution I have found is de-interlacing, judicious uprez to HD (4K is not going to happen) and then a very mild filmlike grain applied. It's easy to make an image very plastic looking with these tools. But nothing is really a magic bullet, and as with de-noising less is almost always better than more, the difference between results from all methods are subtle rather then dramatic. It's perhaps best for uprezzing BMD HD slo mo shots to 4K. I bought Topaz on an offer that was going but I hardly use it, since the workflow is cumbersome and slow. Ellory Yu wrote:I kind of expected anything that does “aI” is calculation intensive and reiterative in its algorithm.ĪI is almost a misnomer these days, at least I would say it's not nearly as intelligent as the marketing would suggest, as you can see from Carlo's third example.
